Yatzy Scorecard
This privacy policy applies to the Yatzy Scorecard iOS and Android app, a digital scorecard for playing Yatzy/Yahtzee with physical dice. It supports 1–6 players and English and Dutch. No user account is required. The app currently has no backend for storing users’ game data. This policy describes the mobile scorecard app; the browser trainer has its own privacy page.
Information stored locally
Player names, scores, game history and game state are stored locally on your device so you can view and resume saved games. Yatzy Scorecard does not intentionally transmit these game records to our own servers. Local storage is separate from the information that advertising and purchase services may process. Device or operating-system backups may include app data according to your platform settings and the platform provider’s policies.
Advertising
The app uses Google AdMob to show an interstitial advertisement after a completed game. It does not show banner ads, and advertisements must never interrupt an active game. Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics and other information as applicable to provide and measure ads and help prevent fraud. The exact processing depends on your region, consent choices, device and platform settings, and Google’s policies. Advertising may be personalized, non-personalized or limited, where applicable. Non-personalized or limited advertising does not necessarily mean that no data is processed.
Consent and privacy choices
Yatzy Scorecard uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices where applicable. Users in relevant regions, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland, may be presented with Google’s consent/privacy interface. You can manage relevant advertising consent choices, including changing or withdrawing consent where applicable, through the consent/privacy controls provided in the app. Your device’s advertising and tracking settings may provide additional controls. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Availability of ads and the information processed depend on the applicable choices and service configuration.
In-app purchases
The app offers a one-time, non-consumable Remove Ads purchase. Purchasing Remove Ads permanently disables the app’s advertisements for that purchaser, subject to the platform’s purchase and restore mechanisms. Restore Purchases is available to recover an eligible purchase. The Apple product ID is com.yathzytrainer.scorecard.removeads. RevenueCat manages purchase status and entitlements and may process purchase and transaction information, receipts or purchase tokens, app user identifiers and other identifiers necessary to determine entitlement. These identifiers can exist without a user account. Payment is handled by the relevant app store, such as Apple’s App Store or Google Play, rather than directly by Yatzy Scorecard. Removing ads does not remove the processing needed to verify or restore your purchase.
Third-party services
Google AdMob and UMP, RevenueCat, and the relevant app store process information as described above and in their own policies. Their processing may take place outside your country, including outside the EEA, UK or Switzerland; consult their policies for information about international transfers and applicable safeguards. Data retention
Local game data remains on your device until it is removed or the app’s local storage is cleared. Uninstalling the app or clearing its app data generally removes local records, subject to platform backup and restore behavior. We cannot retrieve local game records from our own servers. Third-party services retain information according to their own policies and applicable obligations; purchase records may be retained to validate entitlements, restore purchases, prevent fraud or comply with legal requirements. Removing local app data does not automatically delete records held by those services.
Children’s privacy
Yatzy Scorecard is a general-audience scorecard and is not specifically directed at children. It uses the third-party services described in this policy. Parents and guardians should review the relevant platform and advertising privacy controls before allowing a child to use the app. If you believe a third-party service has processed a child’s personal information inappropriately in connection with the app, use that service’s privacy contact or request channels listed in its policy.
User rights
Depending on your location, the information involved and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or portability of personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may have applicable privacy rights and may complain to their competent data protection authority. These rights are subject to conditions and exceptions and do not apply in the same way to every record. You control game data stored locally through your device’s app-data controls. For information held by Google, RevenueCat or an app store, use the privacy controls and request channels in their policies. Advertising consent can also be managed through the app’s consent/privacy controls where applicable.
Changes to this privacy policy
We may update this policy when the app, its services or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for relevant changes.
